PT PLN (Persero) revealed that electricity consumption in Java and Bali, in May 2009 rose to 9710 giga watt hour (GWh) or exceed the same month in 2008 which recorded 9407 GWh. Java, Bali, PLN director Shamsuddin Murtaqi in Jakarta, disclose the level of electricity consumption in May 2009 was also higher than the monthly average so far.  “Cost of peaks in the Java-Bali system in May was recorded at 16,580 MW, or already exceeding last year’s peak load of 16,300 MW,” he said.
